SHERPUR: All crimes against humanity during 1971 liberation war occurred in Sherpur following direction of Kamaruzzaman, Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, says Mohon Munshi, a self-declared `rajakar’ of the area.

Mohon, who was the closest aide to Kamaruzzaman was describing their activities in 1971 while guiding this reporter to the torture cell in Raghunath bazar area of the district town.

Mohon said, “Kamaruzzaman himself was a killer and many other killings happened on his direction.”

Self-declared member of rajakar, an auxiliary force allied to the Pakistani occupation forces during the war, made the disclosure in an exclusive interview with banglanews24.com.bd on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Mohon in his deposition before the visiting team of the international tribunal agreed to become approver in the war crimes trial now underway in Dhaka.

The investigation team, on the second consecuitive day for investigation into the allegation against the detained jamaat leader, woked about different area of the frontier town and talked to local people about the war-crime happenings in Sherpur.
