SUNAMGANJ: A head-on collision between a passenger minibus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Chhatak left 3 people dead and two injured on Wednesday noon.

The deceased were identified as Delwar, 35, and his niece Ruhela Begum, 22, hailed from Jolsi village in Doarbazar upazila.

Witnesses and police sources said a Sylhet-bound minibus rammed the CNG-fuelled scooter coming from opposite direction, killing them on the spot and injuring two.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the dead bodies to Sadar Hospital morgue.

The locals seized the killer bus following the accident. However, the driver managed to flee the scene, police said.
