GAZIPUR: A suspected mugger was beaten to death by a mob in Voran Mazar slum area under Tongi town of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Khan Babu, 32, of the area.

Local sources said mob beat up Babu badly as they suspect him snatcher, leaving him critically injured.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent Babu to Tongi Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.

Tongi Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
