NAOGAON: A pair of lovers committed suicide having poison in Raninagar Upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Naren, 22, son of Nikhil of Kaliganj village under Singra Upazila and Popi, 18.

Naogaon Sadar Hospital’s residential doctor Mahfujur Rahman told banglanews, “An unidentified lady rushed them hospital at around 7:30pm.”

Later, Popi and Naren died under treatment at around 9:00pm and 2:30am respectively.

Confirming the matter, Sadar Model police station Assistant Sub-inspector Orbinda told banglanews that the bodies were taken to police station.”

The process is underway to file case in this regard, he added.
