GAZIPUR: Police in a drive, held seven people with firearms from Kaliganj upazila of the district early Monday.

The detainees are---Amir Hossain, Anwar Hossain, Jillur Rahman, Jhinuk Mia, Kutub Uddin, Masud and Amir Ali.

Locals said that acting on a tip-off police held the criminals from a two-storied building from near Thana Compound.

Police source said that a pistol, three rounds of bullets, two cocktails and 200 grams gun powder were seized from them.

Kaliganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Nazmul Islam Bhuinya confirmed the matter to banglanews.
