RANGPUR: A Rangpur Special Court awarded death penalty to a man for killing his one and half year-old son.

The convict is Nasirul, hailed from Sri Rampur village of Sadullapur upazila in Gaibandha district.

Judge Robiul Alam passed the order Monday.

Court sources said that Nasirul killed his son feeding poison at his father-in-law’s house in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur on October 18, 2007 following family feud.  

Maternal uncle of the slain kid filed a case in this connection with Rangpur Special Court.
