DHAKA: The government has approved the draft of Voter List (2nd Amendment)-2013 keeping provision to exclude the names of convicted war criminals from voter list.

The approval came from the cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at secretariat Monday.

After the meeting, cabinet secretary Mosharraf Hosain Bhuiyan came up with the disclosure.

As per the amendment, the convicted war criminals could not be voters anymore and their name will be excluded from existing list.
