BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Transport workers withdrew the road-blockade programme on Jessore-Benapole route demanding to stop hijacking in Benapole bus stand, railway station and road transport station of the district.

The blockade halted all export-import oriented vehicles which created five kilometers long traffic tailback from 8:00am in the morning.

Benapole transport owners’ association president Hafizur Rahman told banglanews: “Agitating transport workers have withdrawn the blockade as police arrested three hijackers.”

Benapole Port Thana Sub-Inspector Abdul Aziz confirmed the matter to banglanews.
