DHAKA: Police submitted charge sheet against five policemen including a Sub-Inspector (SI) in the businessman Shamim murder case.

Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Toiabul Hasan received the charge sheet and fixed September 5 for hearing.

Ashulia Thana SI Emdadul Haque, ASI Akidul Islam, Constable Ramjan Ali, Yousuf Ali and Moffazzol were charge sheeted.

All of accused are now in prison. They were suspended earlier on June 6.

Savar Thana Officer-in-Charge (investigation) Aminur Rahman prepared the charge sheet.

On June 5 Shamim was killed allegedly by the accused after he had failed to pay extortion at Savar.
