COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel arrested 18 Malaysia-bound people from Mochni area in Teknaf upazila of the district early Wednesday.

BGB filed a case with Teknaf Thana against broker M Foyez Ahmed, 32, son of Abdur Rahman hailed from Nayapara of Hnila Union under the upazila in this connection.

Acting commander of BGB-42 Battalion of Teknaf Captain Shafiqur Rahman told banglanews: “A special patrol team led by Habilder M Alamgir Hossain detained those persons.”

All the detained persons were sent to Teknaf Thana, he added.
