BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained 31 people including women, children from Putkhali frontier of Benapole on Wednesday night while they attempted to intrude into Indian Territory.

All detainees hailed from Jessore, Narial, Bagerhat, Gopalganj, Satkhira, Sirajganj, Patuakhali and Gaibandha.

BGB Battalion-23 Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Tayef-ul-Haque told banglanews, “The detainees were detained from Putkhali frontier.”

Confirming the matter Benapole Port Thana Sub-inspector Abdul Aziz told banglanews, “The detainees will be sent to Jessore court.”
