DHAKA: A minor Bangladesh girl, who was allegedly kidnapped, raped and pushed into flesh trade, was rescued by the city police in Udhna of India.

Three persons including a husband-wife couple were arrested for forcing the girl into prostitution and police have launched a search for six other persons from the city and Mumbai in this connection.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Satyanagar in Udhna and rescued the 17-year-old girl. They arrested Ashok alias Munna Bansi Tarai (28), his wife Tasli (23) and Daslip Subhash Nahak (26). Ashok, police said, had raped the girl several times and then forced her into the trade.

The girl told police in her complaint that she was brought to Mumbai from Bangladesh by her boyfriend Anwar Hussain on August 10. He lured her on the pretext of marriage but sold her to a person she identified as Misbah, who also raped her several times. After a week, Misbah then sold her to some Dadabhai and his accomplice who also raped her. Dadabhai then sold the girl to one Dilip and Sagar in Surat.

"The girl was kidnapped from Bangaldesh and we are searching for her boyfriend who seems to be the key person. We suspect that he is involved in bringing girls from Bangladesh to India for prostitution. She is a Bangladesh national but was raped in Mumbai and Surat," said A H Rajput, police inspector, Udhna police station.

Police have sent the girl for medical examination. "The medical examination will reveal if she suffers from any other health problem. She will be given required medical treatment," said B S Jebaliya, additional commissioner of police, range I.
