DHAKA: Bodies of four Bangladeshis, died in a gas cylinder explosion at a pesticide factory in Sharjah of United Arab Emirates, arrived here Friday morning.
The Bangladeshis are Bacchu Hawlader, 36, son of Gias Uddin Hawlader, Jakir Sheikh, 32, son of Abdul Hamid Sheikh, Mizanur Rahman, 30, son of Moslem Bepari and Mohammad Ali Akbar, 27, son of late Hossain Dewan of the district.
A flight of Biman carrying the bodies landed at Shahjalal International Airport around 8:23am.
After formalities, Wage Earners Welfare Board Director (administration and development) Dr Md Ziauddin handed over the bodies to families.
He also handed over a cheque for Tk 35, 000 to each victim family for transporting the bodies and their funeral.
As per rules of the board, the families will get TK 3 lakh each as compensation.
Earlier on June 2, at least six Bangladeshis and three others were killed and seven others injured in the accident.
Later, bodies of two other Bangladeshis, died in the same incident, arrived here on July 24. The arrival of the rest four bodies was delayed due to DNA testing delay.
