Infighting kills BNP leader

SATKHIRA: A BNP leader was killed and nine others were injured in a clash between two factions of BNP over a trifling matter in the town on Friday.

The deceased was identified as district Jatiyotabadi Matsyajibi Dal secretary, also former VP of Satkhira Govt College Aman Ullah Aman, 44.

Sources said that two groups of BNP locked-into clash cantering delivering speech in a programme around 11:00am in front of BNP central leader Nazim Uddin Alam, leaving at least 10 people including Aman Ullah and district BNP general secretary Syed Iftekhar Ali.

The injured were rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital. Aman was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 4:00pm.
