LAMA, BANDARBAN: Two persons were killed and a woman was injured in a road accident on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Maluaghat Mazar gate area under Chakaria upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Farhad Hossain, 25, son of Samsul Haque and Nurul Kabir, 20, son of Abul Khair, hailed from Lama.

Witnesses said that a goods-laden truck rammed a motorcycle carrying the youths when they were returning home from Bangabandhu Safari Park in the area, leaving them dead on the spot and another injured.

The injured woman was admitted to Maluaghat Christian Memorial Hospital, sources added.

In-Charge of Chakaria Highway Police Outpost Shafiqul Azam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
