KUSHTIA: Two children drowned in two villages of Daulatpur upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Mahim, 2, son of Siddik Ali, hailed from Mohiskundi Hatisala village of Pragpur union and Robin, 3, son of Hasan Ali, from Baguan village of Mathurapur union of the upazila.

Sources from both the families said both the minor drowned while they were playing beside ponds near home. Later, they found floating bodies.

Officer-in-Charge of Daulatpur Thana Robiul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
