DHAKA: A Dhaka court Sunday framed charge against four bloggers in two cases filed under ICT Act.  

The four bloggers are Asif Mohiuddin, Mashiur Rahman Biplob, Rasel Parvez and Subrata Odhikari Shuvo.

Dhaka Senior Special Judge M Jahurul Haque passed the order after hearing a plea seeking exemption of four bloggers from the cases.

The court also rejected the exempt plea in presence of the four accused and fixed November 6 for witnesses’ deposition.

Earlier on June 2, the same court took the case into cognizance and granted bail to Mashiur Rahman Biplob while rejected plea of Asif Mohiuddin.

On April 17, DB police submitted charge sheet against them.

On April 1, Mashiur Rahman Biplob, Rasel Parvez and Subrata Odhikari Shuvo and on April 3 Asif Mohiuddin were arrested for their writ-ups in various blogs which defamed Prophet (SM) and hurt religious sentiment.
