BSF strangled a Bangladeshi

KUSHTIA: Border Security Force (BSF) Jawans of India strangled a Bangladeshi farmer on Doulatpur border area of Kushtia on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Bazlur Rashid, 30, son of late Azahar Ali, hailed from Mohammadpur village of Ramkrishnapur union under Doulatpur upazila.

Sources said that some 4-5 farmers went to cut grass near the 157-1 (S) pillar of Mohammadpur border area. During the time, BSF personnel of Bausmari camp under Jalangi Thana of Murshidabad district chased them and held Rashid.

Later, after strangling, they left him in the Bangladeshi Territory, sources added.

On information, BGB members of Ramkrishnapur-32 Battalion recovered his body.

Confirming the matter, Commander of BGB, Ramkrishnapur-32 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Kazi Arman said that they have protested the matter.
