DHAMRAI, DHAKA: A worker of Acme Drug factory was killed as a truck knocked him down at factory premises at Dhamrai on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Lablu Mia, 35, son of Abdul Aziz of Fatulla upazila of Narayanganj district.

Sources said some workers of the factory were unloading goods from the truck. At one stage, the truck knocked Lablu down when it wanted to go back side, leaving him dead on the spot.

Agitating workers detained the killer driver and handed over to Dhamrai Thana police.

Officer-in-Charge of Dhamrai Thana Abdur Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
