DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy has expressed his joy as per capita income of the country crossed $1000.

Joy has given a status update on his facebook page in this regard at 9:20am Tuesday.

The post reads as it is below-

“Today Bangladesh measured another improvement. We have moved up eight positions in our Global Competitiveness Index.

This is a ranking done by the World Economic Forum that measures how competitive our economy is to other countries. Recently our per capita income crossed $1000.

This was a huge milestone. All of this has happened because of our Awami League Government’s policies. The country has never progressed this fast.

If our policies are continued we will definitely become a middle income country by 2021. Perhaps even sooner. This will only happen if you vote for the Awami League.
