BSF abducts BD man in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA:  Indian Border Security Force (BSF) abducted a Bangladeshi cattle trader at Benipur border in Jibannagar upazila early Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Billal Hossain, 40, son of Robi Kamal of Mosheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah.

BGB and local sources said a special team of BSF abducted Billal from near pillar no 62 at around 5:00am and handed over to police while he was trying to intrude into India through Benipur border to bring cattle.

Confirming the matter, Chuadanga-6 commander Lt Colonel GAzi Asaduzzaman told banglanews, “A letter had been sent to BSF protesting the incident and asked them to return Billal. Later, a flag meeting was held with BSF team at Zero point of Benipur Border at around 11:00 am.”

In the meeting, BSF said detained Bangladeshi was handed over to police on accuse of illegal intrusion.
