1 held with 4,000 Yaba tablets in city

DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-2 held a drug dealer with 4000 pieces of Yaba tablets, one lakh Vietnam currency and Tk 35,000 cash from Hazaribagh area in the city on Wednesday night.

The detainee was identified as Abul Khayer, 30.

A team of RAB-2 led by deputy director Dr Didarul Alam, Lieutenant Sazzad Raihan in a drive held him at around 09:45pm.

Meanwhile, RAB seized six mobile phones, 16 national identity cards, a motor bike and a passport from him.

RAB-2 commanding officer Lieutenant MM Anisur Rahman told banglanews, “The detainee Abul Khayer was a Yaba dealer. He supplied those drugs to various people and we monitored his movements for long time.”
