Vote for qualified candidates

CHITTAGONG: Bangabandhu’s Grandson Sajeeb Wazed Joy, also a computer scientist, urged people to vote for the talented and competent candidates in upcoming general election.

“If the court gives any final verdict of war crimes before next election, Awami League will execute it, he added.

He came up with the assertions in a programme titled ‘Let’s Talk’ with various colleges and universities students of Chittagong at the Club Auditorium of the City, arranged by Centre for Research and Information (CRI) on Saturday.

Addressing the young generation, Joy said, “Many things are depending on you as you have votes to cast. If you cast your vote for talented and competent candidates, country will move forward. Otherwise, we will recede to darker ages.”

In an open discussion, Joy also said that many internationally famous IT companies are coming here in Bangladesh and thinking of establishing manufacturing clubs which will extend the job market for the young and fresh graduates.

He also alleged that if BNP assumes power in the next election, Bangladesh will again become champion in corruption.

He also said that Awami League government will work to solve problems and build a better Bangladesh.
