Fiji high commissioner meets FM

DHAKA: Newly appointed first ever Non-Resident High Commissioner of Republic of Fiji Mr. Yogesh J. Karan met with Foreign Minister Dipu Moni.
 
The visiting High Commissioner made the courtesy call on Sunday at capital.

High Commissioner Karan sought Bangladesh’s assistance for capacity building of Fijian agriculture, medical, textile, and ICT sectors.
        
The visiting High Commissioner thanked foreign minister
for her support towards successful completion of an MOU on Agriculture which is scheduled to be signed soon.

He also sought assistance from Bangladesh for capacity building of Fijian textile industries as Bangladesh is a
world’s leader in this sector.

Before concluding the meeting, Dipu Moni wished that the
Govt. of Fiji will steer their country towards establishment of
democracy as per aspiration of their people, the press release added.
