CHITTAGONG: A Japanese tourist was injured as miscreants threw brick chips at a bus in Satkania of the district on Thursday night.

The tourist came to visit Bangladesh on September 5.

Sources said that the tourist was returning Chittagong from Cox’s Bazar on a bus of Hanif Paribohon around 12:00 am Thursday.

When the bus reached at Keranihat of Satkania upazila, miscreants threw a brick chip to the moving bus, leaving him injured.

He was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

A Japanese company official in Bangladesh Nick Barua said condition of his eye is very critical. He might be shifted to Thailand.
