FROM NATIONAL PERLIAMENT:  State Minister for Power Mohammad Enamul Haque asserted that a total of 1100MW electricity will be added to national grid by December.

The minister came up with the disclosure while answering a written question by a lawmaker in question –answer session in the House on Tuesday.

Enamul Haque said, “A total of 600MW electricity will be produced from newly built power plant and we will import another 500 MW from India and the power production will be raised by 10,000MW within December.”

Meanwhile, the national grid provides 9,059MW electricity throughout the country.
