DHAKA: At the invitation of State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shahjahan Mian, Indian Minister for Minority Affairs K Rahman Khan visited Bangladesh from September 14 -18.  

He visited Chittagong, Rangamati and Dhaka.
 
During the visit Khan called on President Mohammad Abdul Hamid on September 17 and discussed India-Bangladesh bilateral relations.

Khan also called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on September 16, and discussed various aspects of our bilateral relations.
 
Rahman has held extensive discussions with his counterpart Mohammad Shahjahan Mian on issues of dealing with welfare of minorities, management of shrines, Waqf and Haj.

Rahman also met representatives of various religious denominations of Bangladesh in a meeting organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Bangladesh.
