DHAKA: A construction worker was electrocuted in Mirpur of the city on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Monirul Islam, 30, son of Moti Biswas, hailed from Ishwardi in Pabna district.

Sources said that he came in contact with an electric wire while working in an under construction building at around 10:30am.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
