CHITTAGONG: A readymade garment worker was pushed down to death from fifth floor by her boy friend in Kalsi Dighirpar area of port city early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Maya Akhter, 22, worker of Regency fashion at CEPZ, hailed from Bashkhali.

Sources said that Maya Akhter had an affair with one Idris Ali. On Friday night Maya came to meet him at around 01:00am.

At one stage, Idris pushed Maya from the roof of the five storied building and tried to flee the scene, but locals held him.

Port zone additional deputy Commissioner Manjur Morshed told banglanews, “Police recovered her smashed body and sent it to morgue for autopsy.”

A case was filed in this connection, he added.
