GAZIPUR: After fighting for life for three days, a youth who was hit by a hairdresser with scissor in the district, succumbed to injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Sumon 21, son of Fazlur Rahman of Kapasia upazila of the district.

Local sources said Sumon went to a barber shop to cut his hair in Trimohoni Bazar area of the district on Wednesday. During the cutting of hair, he locked into an alteration with the barber shop staff Madhab Chandra. At one stage, Madhab hit the customer with scissor, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Upazila Hospital and then to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at around 4:00 am Saturday.

Locals protested against this incident and additional law enforcers were deployed to keep the situation under control in the area.

Kapashia police station Officer-in-Charge Delowar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
