CHITTAGONG: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel in a drive held nine fake doctors from Bondortila area of the port city on Saturday morning.

They were produced before a mobile court led-by District administration’s executive magistrate HM Anwar Pasha.

RAB Chittagong zone commander Squadron leader Nazmul told banglanews, “Without certificates and registration, those fake doctors were cheating people and RAB made a list of 14 fake doctors.”

According to the list RAB held those nine fake doctors, he added.

Meanwhile, mobile court magistrate and Chittagong civil surgeon’s representative medical officer Dr HM Ahsanul Haque are checking the detained doctors’ certificates and registration papers.

Legal steps will be taken against the detainees, if found guilty, the RAB officer added.
