RAJSHAHI: Three minors of a family drowned in a pond at Vayalaxmipur union under Charghat upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Shovon 7, Sanjida 10, kids of Azizur Rahman and their aunt Ritu, 9, resident of the area.

Azizur Rahman said the children drowned in the pond near to their home while they were playing there in the morning. At one stage of searching, their floating bodies were found at around 12:15 pm.

They were rushed to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared them dead.
