DHAKA: Abdul Hye Sikder and Jahangir Alam Prodhan were elected president and secretary respectively of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ).

The results of the day-long elections held on Friday were declared on Saturday afternoon at National Press Club.

Abdul Hye Sikder got 536 votes while Jahangir Alam Prodhan bagged 345 votes.

Besides, Anwarul Karim Bulu (518), Khandaker Hasnat Karim (474) and Syed Ali Ashfara (396) were elected as vice-president.
