DHAKA: General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Army Commander of Indian Army at Fort William in Kolkata, Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh, UYSM, AVSM, VSM paid homage to Shikha Anirban at capital’s Cantonment on Monday.

He paid honor to martyrs of Liberation War placing floral wreaths at around 9:25am.

He will pay a goodwill visit to Bangladesh from September 23 to 26, 2013 at the invitation of the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army, General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, psc.  

He is accompanied by his wife Mrs Namita Suhag, Regional President of the Indian Army Wives Welfare Association.

General Dalbir Singh’s visit will enhance friendship and bilateral co-operation between the two armies and is part of the tradition of regular high level exchanges between the Armed Forces of both countries.
