GAZIPUR: Readymade garments workers attacked at a garment factory here and looted firearms from industrial police.

The incident took place around 3:00pm on Wednesday.

Sources said some agitating workers brought out a procession to press home their demand of hiking salary and allowance in Panisail area.

At one stage, they attacked a garment factory and looted a gas-gun from industrial police.

In response police fired several round rubber bullets to bring the situation under control that leaving at least 10 people injured.

Confirming the matter police super Abdul Baten said police is trying to recover the arms.
