KHULNA: The Long march towards Sundarbans demanding the cancellation of Rampal Power Project to save the mangrove forest reached at the Shaheed Hadis Park of the city on Friday afternoon.

Here the participants of the Long march organized a rally.

The Long march will stay in the city for the night and on September 28 it will move for Rampal.

Disregarding raining, hundreds of people have joined the Long march.

National Committee for Protecting the Sundarbans convener Engineer Sheikh Mohammad Shahidullah, member secretary Professor Anu Muhammad, general secretary of BSD comrade Khalekuzzaman, former general secretary of Workers’ Party Bimol Biswas, Mosharraf Hossain Nannu, Moshrefa Mishu are leading the Long March.
