GAZIPUR: At least 20 readymade garment workers injured in a clash with police on Dhaka-Tangail highway on Saturday morning.

Witnesses said that workers of SQ garments came out on roads at around 09:30am and attacked adjacent garments as the neighboring Kostoks garments workers did not express solidarity with their protest demanding TK 8,000 minimum salary.

Meanwhile, police obstructed the workers which triggered a clash, leaving 20 people injured.

Joydevpur Thana Sub-Inspector Anwar Hossain told banglanews, “The situation is normal now.”
