3 DAP workers electrocuted in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: Three workers were electrocuted and another one injured in a unit of state-run Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer factory in the port city on Saturday evening.

The deceased were identified as M Sahabuddin, 30, M Maruf, 20, Waiz Nur, 40.

Constable of Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Nazim told banglanews that the workers came in contact with electric wire while working at the bagging unit of the factory as the electric wire of portable conveyer belt tore suddenly, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared the three workers dead, he said.

The fatally injured another one was admitted to the hospital, he added.
