DHAKA: A suspected thief was beaten to death by a mob in capital’s Maghbazar area on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Abdullah-Al-Masud Munna, 40.

Locals said locals caught him as his body part touched a private car on his way to passing the road at around 10:00am and took him to nearby SR Tower.

Later, they beat up Munna indiscriminately and strangulated him to death.

On information, Ramna Thana police rushed to the spot and picked up 10 people for interrogation.

Confirming the matter Ramna thana assistant police commissioner Shibli Noman told banglanews, “Police recovered the body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
