BOGRA: Three persons were killed and 15 others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Bogra Highway in Dhankundi area under Sherpur of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Faridul Islam, 38, son of Abdul Matin of Sirajganj, Rubel, 36 and Nagar Hawlader, 45, of Bogra.

The injured were rushed to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Confirming the matter banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Sherpur Thana Aminul Islam said, “A Dhaka-bound bus collided head-on with a truck in the area. At that time two more trucks knocked the truck from behind, leaving two dead on the spot and 16 injured.”

Helper Rubel succumbed to his injuries at hospital.

The vehicles were taken to the Thana, he added.
