COMILLA: Police filed two cases 2000 students of CCN Polytechnic Institute of Courtbari area mentioning 33 names in Comilla under Obstructing Government Activities, Attacking Police and Anti-Terrorism Acts.

The cases were filed with Comilla Sadar (South) Thana early Monday.

Additional Superintendent of Police in Comilla (South) Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On September 29, agitated students vandalized the vehicle of Comilla Sadar (South) Thana Police and set fire to the vehicle of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Fatema Zahan.

During the time, a police constable was bullet-wounded and another seven police including 25 students were injured.

The Polytechnic students around the country went berserk to press 2-point demands: implementation of Prime Minister’s directives in reduction of salary discrimination of diploma engineers and two inter-ministry committee’s recommendation.
