SIRAJGANJ: Two kids were killed and a woman was injured as lightning struck them in Enayetpur area under Chauhali upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The deceased were identified as Halima Khatun 7, daughter of Belal Hossain and Taslima Khatun 7, daughter of Maqbul Hossain, residents of the area.

Locals said that two kids went to take bath along with their grandmother Jahanara Begum in Jamuna River. They were injured critically as lightning struck them at around 1:00pm in the area.

Later, locals rescued them and rushed them to a local hospital where two minors died.

Doctor of Khaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital Shaheed Imran confirmed the matter to banglanews.
