TANGAIL: A minor was killed in a road accident and another one drowned in Kalihati upazila of the district on Saturday afternoon.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Toma, 6, daughter of Laxman from Nischintapur village of the upazila.

Sub Inspector of Kalihati Thana Omar Faruk told banglanews that a Jamalpur-bound bus rammed a three wheeler, locally known as Tempu, in Solakura area of the upazila, leaving a minor and another woman injured critically.

Local people rushed them to Kalihati Health Complex where the duty doctor declared the kid dead, he added.

On the other hand, Toma drowned in a pond when she went to bath there.

Later, family members recovered her body from the pond.

Wireless operator of Kalihati Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
