DHAKA: Teachers of newly nationalized primary schools started fast-unto-death demanding quick appointment.

The fresh programme of the panel teachers was started at Central Shaheed Minar in the capital at 11.00am Sunday.

Protesting teachers told banglanews that the government nominated 42,611 teachers for final appointment on April 22 in 2010 and only 1,400 teachers got the much desired appointment and 2600 got a special panel.

The teachers demanded an immediate initiatives form government in appointment process to ease their sufferings.
