JESSORE: A Bangladeshi cowboy was beaten to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Benapole frontier of the district early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Towhidul Islam Shikder, 18, hailed from Goga village of Sharsha upazila.
 
Family sources said Towhidul was returning home with cattle traders and caught by BSF personnel near Zhawgara frontier of India in the dawn.

BSF personnel left him near border area with critical injuries.

Later, he was admitted to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injures in the evening.   

Confirming the matter Khulna Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-23 Battalion Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Taef-ul-Haque told that he has been informed about injury of a Bangladeshi national near frontier area.
