NARAYANGANJ: An organization ‘Amra Narayanganjbasi (Dwellers of Narayanganj)’ called half day hartal for October 30 to press home 5-point demand including gas connections in the residences.

The announcement came from a mass hunger strike programme in front of the Narayanganj Press Club on Monday noon.

Speakers said that they would observe shutdown from 6.00am to 12.00pm on October 30 to press home their demands.

They also urged not to pay the gas bill till the residential gas crisis is resolved.

The protesters also urged to prevent Titas Gas if they go to disconnect the gas lines.

Chaired by the president of the organization Haji Nuruddin, convener of the organization Advocate Mahabubur Rahman Ismail, general secretary Nasiruddin Mantu, editor of News Biserbanshi Subhash Saha, vice president of proposed district BNP committee Jannatul Ferdaus among others were present in the programme.
