136 passengers saved narrowly

DHAKA: A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines made emergency landing at Shahjalal International Airport while leaving runway for Singapore as a bird entered the engine on Wednesday morning.

The BG-048 flight with 136 passengers on board made emergency landing at the airport at about 8:40am.

All of the 136 passengers and its crewmembers were escaped an accident narrowly but the engine was slightly damaged.

The Boeing 737 airplane was taken to number 9 bay of the tarmac to repair the damaged engine while the passengers were taken to hotel.  

Engineers of Biman are looking into the damaged engine.
