TANGAIL: Two truck drivers were run over by another truck on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Bhatkura area of the district early Friday.

The deceased were identified as Halim Mia, 45, of Denbari area under Savar upazila of Dhaka and lNazim Uddin, 50, of Pollabi in the capital.

Alenga highway police Sergeant Shamsul Alam told banglanews that the two ill-fated drivers were going to Dhaka from Dinajpur with rice-loaded trucks.

Another truck rammed them in the area at around 5:30am while crossing the highway after parking their trucks due to traffic jam, leaving them dead on the spot, he added.

The bodies were sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue.
