Dhaka: Foreign Minister Dipu Moni left Dhaka Sunday for Tajikistan to attend the 37th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting, at the first stop on her way to Moscow.

The meeting will take place in the Tajik capital city of Dushanbe on May 18-19.

Foreign Ministry officials said the Foreign Minister would fly from Dushanbe for Moscow for a bilateral visit May 20-21.

In Moscow, she will meet the Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Science and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

She will be present at the signing of a framework agreement between Bangladesh and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, mainly meant for building a nuclear power plant in Bangladesh to feed its power-hungry power grid.
