A mobile court of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport fined Turkish Airlines Tk 3 lakh for bringing three Bangladeshi passengers to Dhaka who did not have Covid-19 certificates.
According to Airport sources, three members of a family arrived in Dhaka from US via Istanbul by a flight of Turkish Airlines on Wednesday (January 13).
The passengers did not have the recommended PCR Covid test certificates but were able to produce a written statement by an US physician that said the individuals have no symptoms of the deadly virus infection.
As per government directives, all foreign travelers must have Covid negative certificates. Turkish Airlines was fined for violating that directives and the three passengers were sent to institutional quarantine.
